I can see a Booker and Elizabeth that made it out interviewed years later on Booker's literary career. Not his actual past; horror/mystery writing. You see, there's one story at Outpost Daria (and its legacy site) where Jake's much more well adjusted... and celebrated for his horror writing. His demons never mounted over his life because his writing keeps them at a dull roar at best.

Can't you see Booker doing likewise?
